The blunt rounded end of a tapestry needle slips easily through the holes of canvas or into the weave of fabric without snagging or piercing. The long oval eye carries more than the usual number of strands of thread. Tapestry Needles are used in needlepoint, bargello and cross stitch projects. The smaller Tapestry Needle size works well with Hardanger and Evenweave fabrics as they slip easily between the weave, helping to count the threads.

Triple needles are actually three needles mounted on one shaft and are used to create three rows of decorative stitching at the same time. It comes in sizes 2.5/80 and 3.0/80. It is helpful to use a stitch plate if you are expecting perfectly straight top stitching results. Choose the size based on the type and size of thread being used.
