This 12-1/2 x 24-1/2-inch rectangle ruler is a whopper – it's the largest rectangle on the market. We call this one THE BIG EASY. This ruler is the perfect choice for home dec projects, trimming quilts, marking cross-hatching, and cutting borders.
It features easy-to-read black and white markings printed in 1-inch grids marked in 1/8 and 1/4-inch increments. Use the easy-to-read, black numbers (printed on white dots) and the 1/4-inch grip sides to cut whole inches. The 1/4-inch dashed lines printed on two adjoining sides aid in trimming seam allowances. Use the patented Turn-A-Round feature – designated by the easy to read, numerical white numbers (printed on black dots) and the 1/2-inch grip sides – to add the 1/2-inch seam allowance.

Create perfect pieced hexagons with 2, 4, or 6 inch finished centers by squaring up each round of strips as you go. Since each round is squared up before the next set is added, the blocks created are perfect hexagons. Or use the markings to cut 2 to 8 inch finished hexagons and every even size in between. Note: This tool cuts finished hexagons that measure 8 inches from side to side. From point to point, the cut hexagon is slightly less than 10 inches so they can be cut from 10 inch pre-cuts. Pattern requires inset seams? No problem - use the drilled holes to mark the seam allowance. Want to cut half hexies to avoid inset seams? The markings for half hexies are includes as well.
