This 90 degree triangle cuts quarter triangles up to a finished size of 8 inches. Since the tip is trimmed, all squares and triangles can be cut from the same strip of fabric. Sew four together to create quarter-square triangles up to a finished size of 16 inches. A 1/4 inch dashed line is printed on each side of the center vertical line so you can cut 45 degree triangles that include the seam allowance. A dashed 1/4 inch seam allowance is printed around the entire edge of the ruler.

Keep it simple! The Basic Range series does just that – they are easy to see and easy to read. By eliminating the 1/8 inch markings and the Turn-a-Round feature, literally over half of the markings are removed. The remaining 1/4 inch; 1/2 inch and 1 inch markings are printed with a whole inch grid. That’s right – without the Turn a Round feature, a 6 x 24 inch ruler truly measures 6 x 24 inches – not 6-1/2 x 24-1/2 inches. Therefore they are printed so they read correctly for left handers too!
This 6 x 24 inch rectangle features black numbers printed on white squares that are easy to read and differentiate this series from our standard line. Since 1/2 inch cuts are the most frequently used, these black and white dashed lines are prominent and are visible on light AND dark fabrics. Use the 45 degree angle to square up half-square triangles in whole and half inch increments.

Use the horizontal, vertical, and diagonal markings to square up any block – up to a 12-1/2 inch square. Use these lines to center and trim embroidery designs, applique blocks, and even fussy cut T-Shirts for T-Shirt quilts. (Fussy cutting is choosing a specific design in the fabric to showcase in your project.) The drilled holes at 1-1/2 to 11-1/2 inch increments, make it possible to square up, mark and add the seam allowance to any block. To fussy cut, center a fabric design in the 1 – 12 inch printed black solid squares. Mark the fabric through the drilled holes to add the seam allowance to your fussy cut piece - marked with a white dashed line on the ruler. Simply connect the dots and cut to size.

The Quick Trim and Circle Ruler is available in two sizes – 3-1/2 x 12-1/2 inches (CGRMT1) and 4-1/2 x 24-1/2 inches (CGRMT5). Both rulers include the Turn-a-Round feature as well as all of the markings of a traditional Creative Grids® ruler.
