This set includes ¼" Ruler Foot and Open-Toe Frame Quilting Foot, which are designed specifically for frame quilting, the forte of the new 1600P. The ¼" Ruler Foot as a high 'heel' and ½" diameter for free-motion quilting with a ¼" thick quilt rulers and long arm quilting templates.
The Open-toe Frame Quilting foot has an opening that faces sideways to provide a clear view of your work when standing at the handles of a quilt frame. Interchangeable with Convertible Free-Motion Frame Quilting Feet for the 1600P Series (767433004) for maximum utility. Note: Must purchase this set to obtain ankle for attaching set to machine.

Janome Darning Foot - 5mm

The Darning Foot is used to both mend over holes and tears, and to perform decorative stitching by way of Free Motion. Attach the darning foot to the presser bar with the lever positioned over the needle clamp screw. Drop your machine’s feed dogs, or if not an available function, use a darning plate to disable them. Place fabric, ideally secured into an embroidery hoop. Lower the foot and sew at a low speed, moving the fabric back and forth, and alternate to 90 degrees to secure over tears, or manoeuvre over a drawn design.

The even feed foot "walks" over fabric to assist with smooth feeding. With this foot, fabric can be sewn without shifting or puckering since the fabric is gripped and fed by both upper and lower feed dogs. It works well with materials like knit, vinyl or leather. This even feed foot is for horizontal rotary hook models.

The Janome HD roller foot is for sewing curves, topstitching and piping with a large pipe. This foot gives you a better view and allows you to manipulate the fabric easily and accurately.
This innovative new foot can smoothly control materials such as leather and vinyl which are prone to catch in the feed dogs. When using this foot, the base of the needle is clearly visible, making your work easier.
Smooth Feeding of Fabric - Because the roller holds the material while rotating, materials such as leather and vinyl are fed smoothly. Also makes sewing curves a breeze.
Great for Piping - Thick piping cord can also be sewn with the needle directly beside the cord. If a Zig-Zag or Satin Stitch foot were used, the side of foot would be against the cord instead. Can be used with piping cord which is 17mm or less in diameter.
Adjust roller position relative to needle position - For best sewing results, position the roller and needle close to each other. Combined with the roller holding down the fabric, this has the effect of keeping the stitch length as uniform as possible.
With sharp curves, setting a short stitch length is also effective. Test sewing and adjusting thread tension and stitch length is recommended.
Roller part is retractable - The roller can be retracted to the left side to make a space around the needle and allow for easier threading. The roller part can be moved while pushing the screw at the top of the foot.
Handling of delicate materials - When working with delicate materials such as leather, enamel and vinyl, you can place a thin layer of paper between the roller and the feed dogs in order to prevent it leaving marks on the material. If the pressure is too strong, scratches or damage to the roller may also occur, so adjusting foot pressure to recommended values is advised. For recommended foot pressure for each sewing machine, please refer to the included Roller foot instructions.
