Janome Blue Tip Needle
Designed specifically for your Janome machine. The blue tip needle, a Janome exclusive, is a size #11 and is our best 'all purpose' needle for both both machine embroidery and general sewing on most types of fabrics. The needles special feature is an oversize eye to accomodate the embroidery thread. It reduces stress and tension on the top thread and makes threading easier. Slight Ball point tip.

Designed for knit fabrics and Janome 3/4 thread Overlockers.
Similar to a universal needle, but has rounded edges and is not tapered the same way. Intended for closely knit fabrics where the rounded tip will push the weave out of the way rather than cut through it.

Red Tip needles are designed for denser embroidery. Created in the same style as the classic Blue Tip, the Janome Red Tip needles provide the extra strength and durability needed for denser embroidery and thicker fabrics. The size 14 needles are equipped with a larger eye, which helps to prevent thread breakage which can occur when working with tricky threads, such as metallic.
